Emancipation Day
A memorial gathering to honour Louisa Payne, a former slave that escaped from the U.S., will take place at the Fairbairn cemetery on Baseline Road from 10am to 12:00 noon. She was buried at the cemetery but never has a gravestone. A gravestone was recently purchased and a small ceremony will be held.
Jack Monaghan Memorial Celebration
A memorial will be held for Jack Monaghan at the Heritage Centre on Sept. 18th from 2:00 tp 4:00 to commemorate one year since his passing. Jack raced stock cars at Checker Flag Raceway for over forty years and along with his wife operated the Hallmark Memorial Co.
Euchre Tournament

Parking may be limited so bring a friend and carpool if possible. Payment can be made at the door but let us know in advance if you plan to attend so we can set up enough tables.
