DESCRIPTION:The Town of Tecumseh and the Essex County Library are excited to present Open Doors for Art at Town Hall and the Cada Library to highlight and promote our beautiful collection of local art. On Wednesday\, October 23 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm the community will be invited to visit both locations to view the Town’s extensive local art collection and enjoy activities such as door prizes\, light refreshments\, and children’s art activities.\nWe are excited for an opportunity to showcase the whole collection at this open house event\, where we’ll be joined by Nancy Johns of Nancy Johns Gallery and Framing in Windsor and Alicia Ristic of Art Galia in Tecumseh who undertook the reframing work and also provided invaluable guidance in looking after our collection.\nThat week in October is both Local Government Week and Ontario Public Library Week\, and this joint exhibition came together as a way to celebrate with our residents.

SUMMARY:Firefighter Competition
DESCRIPTION:A firefighter competitions will will help on Saturday June 7th at the Tecumseh Fire Station #2 at 5520 Walker Road.  Several teams will be competing in the individual and team skills competitions.  This is a free event for spectators so bring your family and lawn chairs to see our first responders in action.  Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.    The Sandwich South Heritage Centre will be open during this event so stop by and take a trip down memory lane.
